I decided to write a Czech blog because I was really keen to share my enthusiasm for all things Czech with anybody who might be interested in reading about it. I appreciate it's a slightly niche area and over the years many people have asked 'Why Czech'? I can't really explain what makes that small, landlocked, Central European country so interesting to me, but I guess it has something to do with its warm and approachable people, its excellent beer (at an excellent price) and its beautiful cites and countryside.
I studied Czech at the University of Sheffield and spent summers in Poděbrady and Hanušovice as well as lengthy stays in Prague. During those times I met some really interesting and kind people, drank my share of beer and Becherovka and ate my body weight in dumplings.
Me and my girlfriend have recently moved to Prague to finally fulfill my dream of living in the Czech Republic. You can expect blogs on books, language, events, history and small moles. Please get in touch if you have any questions, you can e-mail me on aaronbohlman@gmail.com or follow me on Twitter.

Hi Aaron. Do like your Czech blog ' Fat Dumpling ', je to divné jméno... jo ? No, snád ne. Já také mám zajím v Česku. Byl jsem tam cestovaní na kolé s kamarádem, od Prahy do Českého Krumlovu. Bylo to krásné. A samozřejmě všude tam také, už já myslím.
